The production of high-quality acrylic has high requirements on raw material technology and machinery, and the difficulty and cost of production are not affordable for ordinary small workshops, especially for casting acrylic sheets. Therefore, the price of acrylic is generally more expensive. In order to cater to some customers’ pursuit of low prices, many shoddy and low-priced sheets have appeared on the market. The names are all acrylic, but they are just ordinary organic boards or composite boards (sandwich boards). Most of them are produced with full-recycled materials, and the price is low.

The pursuit of quality is always the unchanging theme, so how should consumers face a mixed market and choose products that suit them? Here are a few tricks:

  1. Observation method:
This is the most common and most intuitive and labor-saving approach. After a long time in this industry, you can see the quality of the board, whether it is mixed with recycled materials, and whether it is an ordinary organic board. Whether the color is pure, whether the transparent casting plate is bluish under the light, whether there are pitting inside the plate, and whether the smell is very pungent. These are very practical methods.
  2. Combustion method:
This method is most effective. Whether the quality of the board is satisfactory, whether the dealer uses other sub-boards as a good board, you can know by burning a corner. The high-quality acrylic sheet will not ignite at once when it is burnt, especially the cast sheet cannot be drawn out after burning.
  3. Light transmission method:
This method is derived from the characteristics of acrylic light transmittance. It can emit white light through the acrylic plate. If yellow or blue color is found, it can indicate that the quality of acrylic is incorrect, because the transparency of the acrylic plate The light rate is very high and the light after passing through is white light, which will not absorb the light color.
  4. Pasting method:
Also called hot-melt method, it is distinguished by the difference in adhesion between good acrylic material and bad acrylic material. For example, acrylic materials of poor quality will stick together and be difficult to separate after being melted, while acrylic materials of good quality will be easily separated.
  5. Solvent method:
It is recommended to put the fish tanks of two materials into two cups filled with acetone. Take it out after 24 hours. The unsaturated resin surface material will swell, and the acrylic panel will swell and the immersion part will be loose.
